Geeta Phogat Urges People Of Delhi To Make Lockdown Successful

Mumbai: Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat on Monday appealed to the citizens to support the Delhi Police in implementing the lockdown at home to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Phogat urged Delhiites to follow social distance and take appropriate measures while going out for necessary supplies.

“Due to Coronavirus, everything is under lockdown. Therefore, I appeal to all of you to support the Delhi Police to make it a success. Stay at home. Only buy some essentials or step outside in a medical emergency. Ensure social distancing and wear a mask whenever you go out and also take a healthy diet. We will all together fight against the coronavirus and defeat it by following the lockdown strictly,” Phogat said in a video post posted on the Delhi Police’s official Twitter handle.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India said on Monday that the total number of COVID-19 positive cases crossed the 4,000 marks to 4,067.
