Hong Kong People Gathers In Court To Face Riot Charges

Mumbai: Hong Kong protestors faced the court on Wednesday, July 31. The charges were directed towards the rioters who started the riot and planned for another unrest in Hong Kong. But the charges caused another protest outside the court.

The offence claims a charge of 10-year prison on the rioters. On Tuesday night it was announced that 44 people were charged with the offence of rioting for 10 years-leading to another round of clashes between the police and the protestors.

Supporters enrage with such charges stood battling the rain and wind outside the courts on Wednesday morning before the proceeding started. The protestors were observed screaming, “Release the righteous… no rioters, only tyranny… reclaim Hong Kong, the revolution of our times,”

Hong Kong Is facing a historic revolution. As per the reports, the protestors were initially calm as they approached the judge who formally read the charges and granted bail. Nine defendants were released on bail of HK$1000 by noon. They were ordered to remain in Hong Kong and maintain a curfew until 6 am.

The last two weeks have brought the peace of Hong Kong in a turmoil. The protestors even today demand an only single thing from the HK government and yet the government haven’t obliged to its citizens. These protests and rallies aren’t enough said people as the bill is backed by the government’s allies in the legislative council and that it is bound to be passed in summer. According to the bill the fugitive from Hong Kong would be shipped to mainland China or Taiwan for their trials. And the people in HK are against this, they want their own country’s judiciary to be independent.
