ICC World Cup: India Remains Unbeaten In World Cup As They Defeated West Indies By 125 Runs, WI Out Of Tournament

Mumbai: It was a do or die match for West Indies today as they have just 3 points on the table. India will take on West Indies today will try to defeat the opposition to reach one step closer to Semi-Finals.

Winning the toss Virat Kohli decided to bat first. Opening the innings was a little bit of controversy due to Rohit’s wickets as the third umpire reversed onfield umpires decision without conclusive evidence.

It was slow to start for team India but Rahul and skipper Virat managed to provide good space, later on, again Rahul failed to convert his score into big as he lost his wicket scoring 48 valuable runs.

It was another test for India’s middle order and they completely failed again as Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jhadav lost their wickets on an early stage of the innings.

It was fire and ice combination we can say as MS Dhoni and Viart Kohli again managed India’s innings, but soon Kohli was dismissed by Jason Holder, missed his century again scored 72 runs.

There was a lot of questions against MS Dhoni’s batting but he proved it today had scored 56* runs with the strike rate of 100 plus and India’s innings also witnessed small cameo from Hardik Pandya who scored 48 runs. Due to this India reached towards defendable score 268 runs.

For West Indies, Kemar Roach was successful as he took 3 wickets for his side.

Chasing the target was that easy for West Indies as India had two good wrist spinners.

It was tough to bat against Indian pace bowlers in this pitch which made Chris Gayle play a wrong shot and lost his wicket to Mohammad Shami.

West Indies was completely failed to answer Indian bowlers, as they were losing their wickets in each over.

The middle order failed to score runs even inform batsmen Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran lost their wickets without scoring many runs for their side.

WI lost their half team in just 100 runs of the team score. And rest it was just a story. As West Indies bowled in just 143 runs. With this West Indies is out of the tournament. It was a huge win for India and move a step closer to semifinals.

For India, it was again Mohammad Shami who took four wickets following Jasprit provided two wickets for their side.

India will next face host England on Sunday.
