India Reports 1.52 Lakh COVID-19 Cases, Lowest In 50 days; Deaths Drop To 3,128
Mumbai: According to the Union Health Ministry on Monday, India has reported 1,52,734 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest rise in daily cases in the last 50 days.
The weekly positivity rate of COVID infections in the country stands at just a little over 9 per cent.
In its latest bulletin on COVID-19 2,38,022 recoveries and 3,128 deaths in the last 24 hours have been reported.
The total number of cases in the country has gone up to 2.80 crores while the death toll is 3.29 lakh.
Meanwhile, over 2.56 crore people have recovered from the deadly disease, which has now left around 20.26 lakh active cases of coronavirus in the county.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that India has so far vaccinated more than 21.31 crore people against COVID-19 infection.
As per the latest data, the COVID19 recovery rate has increased to 91.60 per cent. The weekly positivity rate is currently at 9.04 per cent and the daily positivity rate at 9.07 per cent, less than 10 per cent for 7 consecutive days.
