India Reports A Slight Rise In Daily COVID-19 Cases As 16,326 Test Positive

Mumbai: India registered 16,326 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, 3.42% higher than yesterday. As many as 666 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total death count to 4,53,708.

With this, the active caseload in the country now stands at 1,73,728, the lowest in 233 days. Active cases in the country account for 0.51 per cent of the total cases reported so far, which is the lowest since March 2020.

According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.20 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was also recorded at 1.24 per cent. The number of people cured of the disease rose to 3,35,32,126, while the death rate was recorded at 1.33 per cent.
