Jyotiraditya Scindia Quits Congress After 18 Years Following Meeting With PM Modi

Mumbai: Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has resigned from the primary membership of the party after 18 years. This comes after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.

He Scindia tendered his resignation letter to party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi, in which he minced no words and said that he was not being able to serve people within the Congress.

“This is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year,” he wrote in his resignation letter to interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

“Having been a primary member of the Congress party for the last 18 years, it is now time for me to move on. I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and as you well know this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year.

While my purpose and purpose is the same as it has always been from the beginning to serve the people of my state and country, I believe that I am unable to do so now within this party.

The letter said that in order to reflect and realize the aspirations of my people and my activists, I am confident that I am now making a fresh start.

After the Congress leader sent his resignation letter, the Congress approved the expulsion of Jyotiraditya Scindia for anti-party activities.
