Krunal Pandya Tests COVID-19 +ve, 2nd SL-India T20I Postponed Till Tomorrow

Mumbai: The second Sri Lanka-India T20I, which was scheduled to take place in Colombo today, has been postponed by a day after India all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested positive for coronavirus.

Eight members have been identified as Krunal’s close contacts, the BCCI said.  The entire contingent is undergoing RT-PCR tests today to ascertain any further outbreak in the squad, the BCCI added.

As per the recent developments, players of both teams have been insisted to go into isolation. If members of both teams are tested negative, then the 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka can take place tomorrow.

Shikhar Dhawan-led Team India side had thrashed Sri Lanka in the 1st T20I by 38 runs on Sunday.
