Lasith Malinga Will Retire After The T20 World Cup In 2020

He will be playing in the T20 World Cup in 2020 in Australia before retiring.

Malinga has been an all-time memorable baller who has picked up 97 wickets in 72 T20s and 322 wickets in his 218 ODI matches, including the four wickets in four balls against South Africa in 2007 World Cup.

There has not been yet a confirmation from the selectors unit of Sri Lanka whether to play Malinga for the World Cup 2020 after the 0-5 defeat against South Africa.

Despite, he is currently focusing on the 50 over tournament in England and Wales.

Malinga is to be seen in the IPL 2019 matches for Mumbai Indians.

However, he is going to miss six matches due to his play in Sri Lanka’s domestic Super Provincial One Day tournament.

Mumbai Indians to play their opening fixture against Delhi Daredevils on March 24.
