Maharashtra Records 461 New COVID19 Cases In Thane, 14 Deaths

Mumbai: An official said that the COVID-19 rally in the Thane district of Maharashtra has increased to 2,33,785 in addition to 461 new cases of the disease.

He said that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 has reached 5,765 as 14 more people are suffering from viral infections.

The official said that the death toll in the Navi Mumbai colony of the district has now crossed 1,000.

So far, the district has 6,748 active COVID-19 cases, while 2,21,272 patients have been recovered.

The official said that the recovery rate of COVID-19 in the district is 94.65 percent, the death rate is 2.47 percent, while active cases comprise 2.89 percent of the total cases, the official said.

Kalyan city of the district has recorded the highest number of 55,090 COVID-19 cases, followed by Thane city-52,874, Navi Mumbai-49,186, and Mira Bhayandar-24,583.

Between the deaths of COVID-19, 1,257, Kalyan-1.073, Navi Mumbai-1002 and Meera Bhayander-763 have been recorded in Thane city so far.

So far, 43,337 COVID-19 cases and 1,164 deaths due to the disease have occurred in the neighboring Palghar district, an official of the district administration said.
