Man Arrested For Abducting, Selling 16-Yr-Old Delhi Girl Whom He Met Online

New Delhi: A 16-year-old girl from Delhi was rescued after she was allegedly abducted, sexually assaulted and sold to a person for ₹50,000 with whom she was forcibly married in Madhya Pradesh.

The family told the police that the girl had left the house saying that she would meet a friend, but did not return.

When the police put the girl’s number on the surveillance tab, she found the location of an unknown number in Madhya Pradesh.

During the investigation, the police also came to know that the number was active in Delhi on the day the victim went missing.

The police then raided the house of the suspects and arrested Rajiv Garg, who confessed during interrogation that he had sold the girl to his tenant Ram Mohan for Rs 50,000.

Based on the confession, the police raided the tenant’s house and rescued the victim.

According to Delhi Police, accused Rajiv Garg also raped the victim for several days after the kidnapping and then later sold her for Rs 50,000.

Delhi Police said that the victim had created her account on the Welike app and the accused had created a fake account in the name of a girl on the same app.

Delhi Police further said that the two later became friends and started chatting on the app but when the victim came to know that she was talking to a boy, she stopped talking.

After this, the accused started calling the victim from another number and persuaded her to meet him once. The day the victim reached to meet her in Madhuban Chowk area, the accused kidnapped her and then took her to Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, where he raped her for several days and then later sold her to his tenant for Rs 50,000.

The police are looking for the tenant involved in this case.
