Rajasthan: Man Kills Wife After Fight, Drags Her Body On Street Later Surrenders
Mumbai: A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his wife with an axe following a fight and dragged her body on the street in Rajasthan’s Kota, police said on Wednesday.
During the incident in Rampura, the couple’s nine-month-old son Avinash was injured and died during treatment at the hospital on Wednesday morning, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Circle Officer Ram Kalyan said.
He said, after a brawl on Tuesday night, Pintu alias Sunil Valmiki (40), a resident of the Bhatapada area, attacked his wife Seema (35) with an axe which led to her on-the-spot death
Kalyan said he then dragged her body for 70-80 meters on the road, causing panic and panic in the area.
Leaving the body in the street, Valmiki surrendered at the Rampura police station and accepted his crime.
The police have sent the bodies of the woman and the child for post-mortem, the DSP said.
He said that investigation is on to find out the motive behind the murder.
