The top court directed the Center to keep on record the relevant documents and file notings showing its views on the COVID-19 vaccination policy. It also asked the government when and how the remaining population in the country would be vaccinated.

The Center had recently said that it would be able to vaccinate everyone against the COVID-19 virus by the end of December this year.

It has also said that around 12 crore COVID vaccine doses will be available to the states and union territories in June this year, enabling them to scale up the inoculation.

The government has said that it will provide the states and UTs with the available buffer stock to urgently replenish their depleting stocks so that the vaccination drive carries on at a steady pace.
