Pakistan Records 1600 COVID-19 Positive Cases, 17 Deaths

Mumbai: Around 100 new cases were reported across the country, bringing the total number of coronavirus positive cases in Pakistan to 1600, while the death toll rose to 17, health officials confirmed on Monday.
Pakistan has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in South Asia.

Punjab reported 593 cases, the highest in the country. This province was followed by 502 cases in Sindh, 192 cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 141 cases in Balochistan, 43 cases in Islamabad and 123 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The lowest number of cases have been reported in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

There have been six cases reported in the area, whose residents are upset over setting up quarantine facilities in the area to treat people infected with the virus across the country.
