Pakistan’s COVID-19 Tally Surpasses 2,700

Mumbai: Health officials said that after the new infection was confirmed in Pakistan, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 2,708 on Saturday.

ARY News reported that the national dashboard created by the National Ministry of Health says that the death toll has risen to a total of 40, while 13 patients are in critical condition.

The latest data from the national dashboard says that 130 patients have recovered so far from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sindh has recorded the highest number of deaths since the first case came out, with the current number of virus victims from each province topping Sindh with 14 deaths, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sharing 11 deaths. While three deaths have been recorded in Gilgit-Baltistan so far.

Death due to the novel coronavirus has also been reported in Balochistan province.

Punjab has the highest number of province-wise infections with 1072 cases, while Sindh has 839, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 343, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) 193, Balochistan 175, Islamabad 68 and Occupied Kashmir (PoK) 11.

The country recorded 258 new cases within the last 24 hours.
