SC Directs Madras High Court To Decide On Plea Of Tik Tok On April 24

Mumbai: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered Madras High Court to decide on a plea of TikTok app seeking to pull out its ban order on April 24.

Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi head bench stated that the ban will be pulled out if Madras High Court fails to decide on the plea of Tik Tok.

SC had earlier refuse to stay the Madras High Court that direct to ban the Tik Tok app. It said concerning increasing pornographic content.

The apex court of India dated 17th April had to ban Tik Tok after 2 years of birth in the year 2016.

For 240 million times, it’s been downloaded in India. More than 30 million users downloaded in the month of January 2019 which is 12 times more than the same month in 2018.

Tik Tok, despite having millions of followers were gaining controversies.

Although the ban is on downloading from the App store, the current users can use it further or even can share to others via sharing applications.
