Mumbai: BJP’s biggest ally Shiv Sena has recently demanded the post of Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told to PTI, “The party has demanded the post of deputy speaker. We have told our demand to the BJP.”
Raut said that before the session of Parliament begins, all the 18 Lok Sabha MPs of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray and party’s party will come to Ayodhya next week.
Raut said that the purpose of the trip is to confirm the party’s commitment to building the Ram Temple at the disputed site.
The relationship between the Shiv Sena and the BJP was quite tense before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
However, both parties combine for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
