Start Of New Chapter: Faf Du Plessis After Win Against England
South Africa have also scored their first 30 points in four Tests
Mumbai: After their continuous defeat South Africa won against England by 107 runs reacting to this skipper Faf du Plessis said that ‘it is a start of a new chapter’.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted Faf saying, “We need this. This is the beginning of a new chapter. We want to make sure that we are improving again as a Test team. We are again looking for better things.” Want to move on and this is just the beginning.”
With this win, the hosts opened their account at the World Test Championship. South Africa have also scored their first 30 points in four Tests.
South Africa now lead the four-match series 1-0. It was the first Test win for the Proteas after five consecutive defeats and a sixth consecutive win at Centurion. This is the first time South Africa have beaten England in the Boxing Day Test.
