Tamil Nadu Reports 2,500 New COVID19 Positive Cases, 39 Deaths

Mumbai: The state government said that the COVID-19 rally in Tamil Nadu reached 64,603 on Tuesday with a positive test of more than 2,516 people, while 39 people died while 39 died.

In the latest cases, Chennai has a maximum of 1,380, followed by neighbouring districts of Chengalpet (146), Thiruvallur (156) and Kanchipuram (59), a health department bulletin said, adding that the rest are scattered in other districts.

This is the seventh consecutive day when more than 2,000 cases and more than 2,500 cases have been reported in the state on the third day.

The active cases were 28,428. Chennai’s share in the state count was 44,205.

The bulletin states that those killed include a 43-year-old female and a 45-year-old male, while 36 have no co-death party and three others.
