The Last Glimpse Of Super Flower Moon 2020, Observed On Thursday

Mumbai: Year’s last Supermoon – known as ‘Flower Supermoon’ caught the glimpse of millions on Thursday. The moon appeared from Thursday evening to Friday morning, according to NASA.

This month’s Supermoon was the last of the series of 4 supermoons observed in the year 2020. It was 30% brighter and 14% big than usual as it is found to be near perigee- closest to the Earth, making the spot a delightful one.

The Super Flower moon was found to be on its peak at 4:15 pm IST.

The first supermoon of 2020 appeared in February, followed by 9th March and 11th March. The last supermoon observed by Earth was called ‘Super Pink Moon’.

The term ‘Supermoon’ was coined by an Astrologer named Richard Nole in 1979 meaning new or full moon that occurs within 90 percent of the perigee.
