Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, June 30, started his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

After winning the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first mind talk of water conservation was in the radio broadcast.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal has come at a time when large parts of India are affected by drought. Cities like Chennai and Bangalore are drying up the water sources with the acute water crisis.

Top 10 points from PM Modi’s Radio Broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’

1) Paying serious attention to the lack of water in the country, PM Modi urged the people to contribute to water conservation. “Like cleanliness, let us make water conservation a mass movement,” he said.

2) PM Modi urged the film industry, players, media, social and cultural organizations to spread awareness on water conservation. He suggested that it can be done using creative campaigns.

3) PM Modi also urged the citizens to give suggestions on the works done on water conservation by using # JanShakti4JalShakti on social media platforms. He said that it is important to spread awareness about the protection of every drop of water.

4) I appeal to all Indians, to include awareness among the people of all fields for creating awareness on water conservation. Share knowledge of traditional methods of water conservation. If you know about any person or non-governmental organizations working on water, then share them about them, “he said.

5) In the 2019 Loksabha Election, India saw over 61 crore voters exercising their franchise. It was the largest democratic Election ever held in the world.

6) PM Modi also reiterated the importance of yoga. He said that the International Yoga Day was marked with “great enthusiasm” in India and abroad. “Healthy people help in building a healthy society and Yoga ensures that,” PM Modi said.
