Trump Says He Won’t Extend Social Distancing More After Thursday

Mumbai: The US President Donald Trump has no plans of extending the stay-at-home measure despite the surging figures of Covid-19 deaths in the country.

Moreover, Trump plans to re-commence official travel to Arizona next week followed by Ohio. He’s looking forward to holding mass campaign rallies. He jabbers upon the hope of fruitful results of Covid-19 treatment even when the pandemic has escalated death tolls in the US.

The US economy has shrunk at 4.8% in the first segment of the year. The White House is trying to focus on efforts to strengthen it by opening its economy state by state uncertain of the resurgence of Covid-19 with irresponsible testing and contact tracing.

Trump has presented a vision of pre-coronavirus normalcy with or without vaccines. However, the doctors have emphasized the significance of masks and social distancing in the wake of the pandemic.

“I don’t want people to get used to this,” Trump told reporters. “I see the new normal being what it was three months ago.”

“We’re going to start to move around and hopefully in the not-too-distant future, we’ll have some massive rallies and people will be sitting next to each other,” he said.

The Federal Government has rather advised the people to avoid such gatherings that come at the cost of their lives and remain 6 feet apart.

Meanwhile, Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner said in an interview “a transition month” and that, “by June, a lot of the country should be back to normal. And the hope is that…. by July they could try really rocking again.

The US has been found to be accountable to one-third of the worldwide figure with 1 million cases, 123 thousand recoveries, and 61,472 deaths.
