Two Students Arrested For Putting Up “Freedom For Kashmir” Poster In Govt College

Mumbai: Two students of Malappuram were arrested for poster calling ‘freedom for Kashmir’ in the government college campus in Malappuram, Kerala.

The students have been identified as Mohammed Rinshad second-year student and Mohammed Faris from first-year degree college. Police have registered the case under section 124 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

After the Pulwama attack, students had posted a poster in the campus telling about the freedom of Kashmir and the independence of Manipur,” ANI news agency quoted police officer saying.

“The principal of the college registered a complaint with the police, following which we arrested the duo,” police added.

On 14 February one of the fatal terror attacks took place in Pulwama district, Jammu & Kashmir. Around 40 CRPF jawans were killed when a suicide bomber rammed into convoy passing from Jammu to Srinagar.
