Undertrails Attacked Thane Police Officer Over Home-Made Food

Mumbai: On 18th July, Thursday the two undertrials attacked sub-inspector Sudhir Wagh when he and other personnel escorted nine undertrials to the court for hearing in their own cases.

The two accused were charged for attempt to murder under the arms act.

As the sub-inspector did not allow the undertrials to have home food during a court hearing.

Mahendra Jaiprakash Singh and Imran Hussain Khan apparently attacked the sub-inspector.

They asked the police to allow them to have food brought by their family members during the court hearing but their permission was not accepted by Mr Wagh.

As per the officials, when they were refused to have home-made food they both hit Sudhir Wagh the sub-inspector and claimed to escape from the police custody.

After this attack, the inspector lodged a complaint against two. On Sunday night both were booked against various Indian Penal Code sections, including 353- assault or criminal force to deter public servants from the discharge of his duty.
