This area is the bastion of the newly elected BJP MP Arjun Singh, who had defended the saffron party from the TMC before the Lok Sabha elections. Singh defeated Dinesh Trivedi of TMC in the elections.

“What do you think of yourself? You will come from other states, stay here and do misbehave with us! I will not tolerate it. How dare you humiliate everyone? All your names and details will be given attention,” she stated.
