With The Highest Spike of 9,887 COVID19 Cases In Last 24hrs India Becomes 6th Worst-Hit Country In The World

Mumbai: India has reported its highest single-day increase of COVID-19 cases with 9,887 positive cases and 294 deaths according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The total number of cases in India has surged to 2,36,657 including 1,15,942 active cases and 1,14,073 recoveries. The death toll stands at 6,642.

The state-wise data of active cases in the top 4 states are as follows: Maharashtra 42,224, Delhi 15,311, Tamil Nadu 12,700, and Gujarat 4,901.

India has tested around 45,24,317 samples up to date, out of which 1,37,938 samples were tested in the last 24 hours as per the reports of ICMR.

With the daily upsurge in the number of cases reported, India becomes the sixth most affected country in the world after the US, Brazil, Russia, Spain, and the UK.
