Youngsters Trying Too Hard On Social Media: Yuvraj Singh

Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh said youngsters this day try too hard to become someone else on social media to gain popularity.

In an Instagram live session with India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, the left-handed batsman said, “I feel they try too hard. They become what they are not when they are on social media.”

I’ve seen many players who are otherwise very decent but on social media, they become something else,” the 39-year-old said.

The 26-year-old pacer admitted that youth these days want recognition on social media.

Bumrah said, “I have seen that youth want recognition on social media. People say they are good. Perception should not change in people’s opinion and it should not matter. You need to believe in yourself.”

Bumrah would have been in action for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) if the tournament had started on 29 March. However, the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the coronovirus epidemic.
