26-Yr-Old Woman Returning From Work Gang-Raped In Park By 2 Men In Delhi

Following the heinous offence, the 2 men were arrested and booked on charges of abduction and rape by the police

Mumbai: A 26-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and thrashed by two men while she was returning from work in Delhi on Tuesday night. The accused initially raped her inside a park and then took her to rented accommodation and perpetrated the crime again, a report stated.

As per the details of the case, the woman earlier worked in the same factory where the accused worked and in her complaint about the traumatic incident, she said that the crime took place when she was returning from work and by 2 men on the pretext of having a conversation.

Meanwhile, both the accused took her to a nearby park and raped her. According to the Times of India report, their cruelty did not stop here as they took him to a rented house in a nearby slum and committed the crime again.

According to reports, when the woman asked him to leave, both of them did not accept her need and beat and threatened her. Further, when she tried to sound the alarm by calling from her mobile phone, the accused also snatched her phone. When it was morning, both of them dropped the woman again in the park early next day.

During this the victim approached the police to file a complaint regarding the serious offence. After getting information about the crime, the woman was sent for further medical examination.

Also, on the complaint of the woman, the police swung into action and an FIR was registered. A team was also formed to nab the accused at the earliest and a thorough investigation helped in the arrest of the accused.

Commenting further on the matter, an official said that more links are on in this regard and they are probing whether both the arrestees had any criminal records in the past.
