Mumbai: Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami who was alleged of inflicting domestic violence on his wife has now been asked by the court to surrender within 15 days. An arrest warrant for Shami has been issued.
In early 2018 Shami and his brother were booked for domestic violence under IPC section 498A. But Shami did not appear before the court following which the ACJM gave the order. Hasin Jahan later went public with her allegations and the couple got involved in a fight of words.
In the month of April, it was reported that she had gone to Shami house and created chaos, owing to which she was arrested. She was bailed later. While speaking to media in August she said that the media was harassing her and that the long duration of the case has been difficult.
Mohammed Shami is provided with 15 days within which he has to present himself in front of Kolkata court and apply for bail. If he fails to do so he would be arrested.
