Australia Defeated Sri Lanka In Third International T20 Series

Mumbai: As predicted, Australia won the 3rd and final T20 by 7 wickets against Sri Lanka. Warner continued his great form by making an unbeaten 57.

Aaron Finch won the toss and invited visitors to bat first. Mitchell Starc was included in playing 11 and made an impact straight away. He got Niroshan Dickwella on the first ball that he faced. Even after Sri Lanka making a couple of changes couldn’t change the fortunes as they could only make 142 of 20 overs. Kusal Perera played a handy knock of 57 off 45.

The opening stand of 69 between Finch and Warner showed the early signs of an Australian victory. As previously mentioned Warner made match-winning 57 and a knock from 50 balls including 4 fours and 1 six. Ashton turner of 22 off 15 balls including 2 big sixes. Australia made 143 by losing just 3 wickets in just 17.4 overs. Lahiru Kumara was hammered for 49 runs off his 4 overs. Aussies never looked in trouble while chasing this total.

David Warner won the Man Of The Match award for his knock and also he won Man Of The Series award for making 217 runs in 3 matches. While receiving the award he said he is happy with his form and is looking forward to the Pakistan series. He is now at number 6 position in most T20I runs with 2009 runs.
