Chidambaram’s Intellect Is At Par With That Of Rahul Gandhi, Says BJP Leader
Mumbai: BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao attacks Congress leader and former finance minister P Chidambaram for opposing Citizenship (Amendment) Act and said, that by doing so Chidambaram has brought his level of intellect at par with that of Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to ANI here on Monday, Rao said, “Chidambaram considers himself a world-class intellectual, but has equalled his level of intelligence with Rahul Gandhi, opposing the CAA.”
P Chidambaram on Monday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start a Q&A on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. The former Union minister alleged that Modi was reluctant to question the Act, which triggered widespread protests. Country.
He said, “Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and P Chidambaram are lying about CAA and misleading people and country”.
He said, “Those who are opposing the CAA are speaking the language of Pakistan. When Pakistan is being exposed in the world to persecute the minorities, those opposing the CAA are advancing the talk of Pakistan.”
The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 grants citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, Buddhists and Christians fleeing religious persecution from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh and who came to India on or before 31 December 2014.
