Mumbai: While his first bilateral visit to the Maldives after assuming office for the second term PM Narendra Modi gifted a cricket bat signed by Indian Team to ‘ardent cricket fan’ and Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

This happened when Modi made a delegation-level dialogue with sixteen on Saturday afternoon after contacting the island nation. He was welcomed at his arrival in the Maldives, which included performances by a dance troupe wearing traditional Maldivian costume.
“Mutually beneficial partnership. Warm discussions marked the meeting between PM @narendramodi & President of Maldives @ibusolih. Focus on further deepening our special relationship by expanding cooperation across sectors,” Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
