Coronavirus Deaths In Spain Rise By 757 In 24 Hours To Over 14,500

Mumbai: The Ministry of Health said the number of deaths from coronovirus in Spain rose to 14,555 on Wednesday, as 757 deaths occurred in 24 hours in the country.

Another 6,180 cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases from 1,40,510 to 1,46,690. More than 48,000 people have recovered, as of Wednesday.

However, Health Minister Salvador Illa said the number was still in line with a recession. The daily percentage of increase has increased to about 5% since the end of March.

“There are no good numbers when it comes to deaths … (but) we are now in the slowdown phase,” he said.
