“If One Person Leaves Party I Will Add 500 More To Party,” Mamata Banerjee

Mumbai: It seems Mamata Banerjee doesn’t care if her councillors left the party and joined the ruling party BJP. Talking of which, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said she did not care if 15-20 councillors decided to leave the party leave the party after accepting “cash”.

Banerjee said the defectors as “thieves” and said that he did not want them in his party. He said that he will prepare 500 more people to change him at the party.

“TMC is not a weak party. If 15-20 councillors leave the party after accepting cash then I do not care. If party legislators want it, they can leave them. We do not want a thief in our party. If one person leaves, then I will prepare 500 more, “Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday.

Mamta Banerjee also said that the party’s restructuring was before the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections.

On Tuesday, Bongoon’s TMC legislator Biswajit Das joined the BJP, jolting the TMC. Das was accompanied by 12 TMC councillors and Congress spokesman Prasanjit Ghosh.

On Monday, along with TMC legislator Sunil Singh, 15 TMC councillors and another Congress councillor, West Bengal joined the BJP in the presence of BJP leaders.
