If Pubic Property Gets Any Damage You Will Have To Pay For It: UP CM Yogi Adityanath Over Anti-CAA Violence

Mumbai: In view of the increasing chaos and violence in his state in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that anyone who was responsible for the damage to properties during the violence has to be repaid.

According to the news agency ANI, “The government has decided that those who had damaged public property will compensate and strict action has also been taken in this regard.”

Yogi Adityanath is unstoppable as in his state, where many areas of western UP continue under lockout and enforcement protocols, such as restrictions on the Internet and Section 144. The past 10 days have been boiling for Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Lucknow, Kanpur, Bulandshahr, Agra and other parts.

There have also been instances of communally-driven skirmishes and police brutality from several parts of the state, including Aligarh, where more than 1000 people have been detained and many others in custody.
