‘Involvement Of Students Unfortunate, Won’t Tolerate Anarchy On Campus,’ Says HRD minister
The incident has leftover 30 students, including JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh, seriously injured
Mumbai: Reacting to recent violence took place at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal said that involvement of JNU students in January 5 violence as “unfortunate”.
The minister was referring to the Delhi Police’s press conference in which DCP (Crime Branch) Joy Tirkey released pictures of the suspects in the January 5 violence and alleged that JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh was one of them.

Pokhriyal, meanwhile, added that any sort of violence or anarchy will not be tolerated on campus. “The ministry is committed to ensuring academic atmosphere in educational institutions,” added the HRD minister.

The investigation is being carried out by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, which has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DCP Joy Tirky.
