Mumbai: Another disappointing performance by KKR as they lost against Rajasthan Royals yesterday night leading to disappointment for Karthik.
Rajasthan Royals won the match by three wickets with the help of Parag and Archer whose 47 run partnership led the team to its mark.
Dinesh Karthik expressed his disappointment after the match in the presentation stating, “We are trying to do all the aspects required but we are just not able to cross the line.”
“There’s nothing we are not attending to, we are trying out different combinations wherever required and trying to come in every game believing we can win. Making sure that the dressing room is good giving everybody space and they all trust the leader,” he said.
Karthik scored 97 runs to the scoreboard leading KKR to reach the total of 172 but the Royals chased it down comfortably at the end.
Asked upon the captaincy of Karthik he said, “Obviously these questions will arrive when you don’t win matches, but here we as a team are trying to do a lot of things right.”
“It’s my job to lead as a captain in front. But sometimes the results just don’t come. So it’s a tough call to mend.
But is a fact that we tried hard as a team and is still trying out to fix plus I believe in all the boys,” he signed off.
KKR will play on the visitors Mumbai Indians on April 28.
