Minor Girl Raped By Mumbai Man On Pretext Of Providing Back Pain Treatment

Mumbai: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a man in Mumbai for almost two months on the pretext of providing back pain treatment. The incident came to light when the girl’s parents found that she was pregnant.

A complaint has been registered against the man from Nalasopara who claimed to treat back and legs through “desi” methods.

As reported by CNN News 18, the girl’s parents came to know about her pregnancy when they took her to a doctor as she had severe abdominal pain. After this, the girl told the whole incident to her parents. A complaint was lodged at Tulinj police station against Narmada, who took home treatment for back and leg pain.

Police have arrested the accused. According to the parents of the rape victim, Naradhama had raped the girl on the first day, when she went to him for treatment. He told the media house that his daughter had back pain and doctors failed to cure her.

“A neighbour of ours told us about Naradhama’s home remedies, fixed back and other joint pains. Hoping our daughter will be cured by her home remedies, we started getting appointments from her,” reported the media house quoting the girl’s parents as saying.

Naradhama was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Mumbai Police has started an investigation into the matter.
