Mumbai: World number three Roger Federer said that 22-year-old Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal has a very solid career. Federer’s remarks came after defeating Nagle in four sets in the first round of the US Open.”
“I thought I played like my beard today, I was stiff,” Federer, who had been playing stubble worth a few days, said in his on-court interview.
“I’m going to clear it for my next match.”
The 22-year-old Indian used impressive court coverage and made heavy shots to the net during the start of his dream, but his legs began to get more fluffy as the match wore on and Federer corrected the ship.
After the match, Federer praised his opponent for his successful performance on one of the biggest stages of the game.

“He knows what he can bring. This is why I think he has a very solid career. “The next record for Federer, who is trying to win a 21st career Grand Slam title, will be Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur, who defeated Frenchman Elliot Benkthree on Monday.
Federer holds a 2–0 record in career meetings with Dzumhur, defeating him in the third round at the 2015 French Open and the first round at Wimbledon the same year.
