Mumbai: BJP candidate and Bollywood celebrity Sunny Deol have declared total assets, including that of his wife, as Rs 87.18 crore.
Deol, whose real name is Ajay Singh Deol, declared the property in his affidavit filed with his nomination papers on Monday.
Their affidavit on property and liabilities showed Rs 63.82 lakh in 2017-18, Rs 96.29 lakh in 2016-17 and Rs 2.25 crore in 2015-16.
In his affidavit, his movable and immovable property value is Rs 60.46 crore and Rs 21 crore, respectively.
Deol, who described himself as a ‘producer in the actor, director, film industry, showed a cash amount of Rs 26 lakhs in cash with his wife Linda Deol, in which cash-in-hand Rs 16 lakhs.
He also disclosed gold jewellery worth Rs 1.56 crore related to his wife, while he confirmed that there was no valuable article in his personal occupation.
Between movable assets, Deol has declared a bank deposit and investment of Rs 9.36 lakh and Rs 1.43 crore, respectively.
In real estate, the actor declared agricultural land, non-agricultural land and a flat in Oshiwara premises in Mumbai, whose total value is 21 crores.
Deol also declared a total liability of Rs. 51.79 crore including Rs. 2.49 crore (GST outstanding Rs. 1.07 crore) to the government.
According to his educational qualification, the actor mentioned in 1977-78 the acting from The Old Rap Theater, Birmingham (UK) and getting a diploma in the theatre.
As the BJP candidate for Gurdaspur, Deol will meet Congress MP and party candidate Sunil Jakhar, AAP’s Peter Masih and PDA’s Lal Chand.
Polling on all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will be held in the seventh and final phase on May 19.
