Tripura’s CM Biplab Deb’s Wife Files For Divorce, Domestic Violence

Mumbai: According to reports, Tripura CM Bilap Deb has been accused of domestic violence by his wife.

A prominent portal claimed that CM’s wife Niti had also applied for divorce in Tij Hazari court of New Delhi accusing him of harassment and domestic violence.

Deb is the state president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura from 7 January 2016. He led the BJP in the Legislative Assembly of 2018, defeating the 25 years of government’s Left Front government led Left Front government.

Biplab campaigned on youth employment opportunities, which he promised to improve on being elected the Chief Minister of Tripura. He also promised that he would give all the employees of Tripura the 7th Pay Commission. He praised Narendra Modi during the campaign and said that he considers him as his political guru.

In April 2018, Deb claimed nationwide controversy that since the Mahabharata era, internet and satellites were present. He also made a controversial comment on Civil Services Examination which stated that only civil engineers should sit in Civil Services Examination
