2,361 People Left From Markaz In 36 Hours, 617 Sent To Hospitals: Manish Sisodia
Mumbai: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that a joint operation of officials brought a total of 2,361 people from Nizamuddin Markaz, which lasted for 36 hours.
“In the last 36 hours, we have conducted a very extensive campaign in coordination with medical officers, police, DTC, and others which went on till 4 am today. A total of 2,361 have been brought out from there, out of those 617 have been sent to hospitals while the rest have been sent to different quarantine facilities,” Sisodia told ANI here.
From 13–15 March, a huge religious gathering was held at Markaz Bhawan in Nizamuddin, which violated the lockout situation. On Tuesday, 24 people participating in the Markaz program in Nizamuddin were tested positive for coronavirus.
He said, “I thank the administration and medical teams and everyone else who participated in this operation despite knowing the COVID-19 positive cases might be present there,” he added.
The deputy CM further said that a list of phone numbers of all those brought out of the spot has been handed over to the police and the cyber cell will trace those who were arguing for the last few days.
Urging others joining the Marquez in March to come forward to contact the health authorities themselves, Sisodia said, “All of you should come forward and report to the health authorities. If you ask the administration to We try to hide the disease. Action will be taken against you.”

An FIR has been registered against Tablighi Jamaat head Maulana Saad and others under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897.
