Shivraj Singh Chouhan To Take Oath As Madhya Pradesh CM Today

Mumbai: Senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh at 9 pm on Monday.

Chauhan had previously been the chief minister of the state between 2003 and 2018.

This comes after Kamal Nath, on March 20, tendered his resignation to Governor Lalji Tandon as the Chief Minister following the resignation of 22 Congress MLAs.

The meeting of the BJP Legislature Party is to be held at 6 pm in the party headquarters of Bhopal.

Governor Tandon had written a letter to Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati on Sunday about the no-confidence motion brought by the BJP against him and the resignation of BJP MLA Sharad Kol.

Chauhan on Saturday alleged that Speaker Prajapati is pressurizing the secretariat to accept Kol’s resignation.
