Ganguly Is Stable Now, He Has 2 Blockages In His Heart: Woodlands Hospital

Mumbai: Dr Aftab Khan of Kolkata’s Woodlands Hospital, where BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been hospitalised following a mild cardiac arrest, said that the former India captain underwent angioplasty.

Dr. of Woodlands Hospital Aftab Khan said that Ganguly is risk-free and will be monitored for 24 hours.

“Sourav Ganguly has undergone angioplasty. He is stable now. He will be monitored for 24 hours. He is fully conscious. He has two blockages in his heart for which he will be treated. Since he is still stable, we will have a meeting on Monday and then we will decide what to do next, a priority to settle down after a heart attack. He is risk-free and he is also talking, “Dr. Aftab told reporters.

On Saturday, the former India captain complained of dizziness and then suffered a blackout shortly after returning from the gym. He was immediately rushed to the city’s Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital.

Earlier, the doctors at the hospital said Ganguly felt chest discomfort while doing treadmill at his home gymnasium.
