“It Is Important For Windies To Have A Consistent Line Up For The World Cup Ahead,”Brian Lara
Mumbai: Brian Lara states that lack of consistency in the windies line up will cost them in the World Cup 2019 to reach out to the knockout stage.
“Windies have got match winners but that’s not enough for the team to progress in the English conditions. We need a team that is consistent, once they are in the knockout stage, they can beat any team. We have seen it earlier,” says Brian.
Ranked nine in the ODI, West Indies need to get to the top as they are currently struggling through a consistent altogether team up.
Against England they have drew a five match series 2-2.
Lara said,” The team has shown enough improvement since last October when it played against India. We are trying to be a strong team at our home. India may have to worry when they come to the West Indies at July-August as we have a team that plays according to conditions.”
West Indies will start off the World Cup campaign on May.
