Mumbai: South Africa has the most probability of chances for lifting the World Cup trophy considering the team has fantastic players all over.
Quinton De Kock, Faf Du Plessis and Kagiso Rabada has been in an exceptional form in the Indian Premier League matches and gives the nation confidence over the 50 over matches.
“We are led by Faf who came back in an exceptional form late in the league, Imran Tahir who has bowled well with taking consistent wickets for his team. From Quinton De Kock to the top from the bottom all the eleven players have been playing good cricket. We just need to hope a few luck – weather conditions, a missed no ball goes your way and you could win the tournament,” Steyn said.
“If you look at Rabada who has been bowling tremendously well, we have seen people coming back in excellent form and then fading away, but he is someone we can go used to,” he added.
“We’ve almost won last all the matches 10 out of 13 in the past two and a half years and we are confident about it to take this momentum up, if you are not going to the World Cup expecting to win, then you shouldn’t go,” he said.
South Africa will play its warm-up matches against Sri Lanka and West Indies and open its World Cup campaign on 30th May against England at the Oval.
